There was a cartoon (I believe an editorial one), published shortly after the death of Charles Shultz in 2000, in which Charlie Brown finally kicks Lucy’s football, receives tons of Valentine’s Day cards (including the one from the little red-haired girl) and is successful in keeping his kite from tangling in the tree.
